OK , so 12 years of slave won Oscar for best picture. I didn't watch that movie yet but is it me or you guys also feels that some of the oscar movies are not that interesting ?? ::)  I am not saying that every Oscar movie is bad ,( some of them are my favorites)  but still IMO some of the Oscar ( best picture winning movies) movies are just not interesting.

What's your opinion??

And also, still can't believe Capri o didn't got Oscar   :-\

La Grande Bellezza (Paolo Sorrentino) won the Oscar for best Foreign Movie :') Im Italian so its a great honour

I agree with you csb. A few years ago a film by a british director/producer won the best picture (slum dog millionaire) and to be honest,  I didn't find it that great. It wasnt bad, but not a 10/10 either.

True, maybe that's b'cause  no film was released at that year which was better than that movie. Same goes with Gladiator , Million Dollar baby and Departed ( departed was ok but not awesome! )

Probably because the movies aren't chosen by the awesomeness but the emotions it transfers to the watchers :P
I am a guy who likes mostly action movies but to be honest i think slum dog millionaire deserved the oscar. Not done on a great budget but the plot was amazing.
