Resigning / Thank you for everything.
« on: 30 June 2015, 21:09:02 »
I joined the Extreme Gaming Clan almost 4 years ago. I started to play Halo Combat Evolved at that time and after a while found out about Halo Custom Edition. So yeah, I found out about {XG} from one the servers and ended up applying for the clan. Back at that time there wasn't really a proper way to apply so you just had to join the Xfire group to become a member. When I joined the clan it was pretty small, We had like near 20 members and 2 admins. As time passed the clan grew, We got more servers, Made this forum and upgraded our website (Our old one was way better than the current one even though it was pretty simple).

I would like to thank this clan for being a huge part of me. I've learned a lot of things, Met a lot of awesome people and some really annoying ones too xD. Got to manage the whole clan, servers and the forums.

In the end I would like to thank Gijs for creating the Extreme Gaming Clan, Making it one of the best clans of its time and for giving me a chance to be an admin at {XG}.

I'll log in the forums every once in a while to check on stuff. Some of you have me on steam and since Xfire closed and is no longer active, I'll be using Evolve. So if you want to talk or something you know where to find me.

As at, 06/30/2015 I, Blazer resign from my Administration duties and the Extreme Gaming Clan.

Thank You,
Former Extreme Gaming Admin,

Halo Custom Edition / HAC 2.2 Update : Medals have arrived!
« on: 28 May 2014, 19:24:14 »

This update introduces a Lua scriptable medal system. To get the ball rolling, I?ve provided three example medal packs (click to download); Halo 3, Halo Reach and Halo 4. To install a medal pack, simply download it to your HAC folder under the ?packs? directory (create it if it doesn?t exist) but do not extract it. For example:

Halo PC: C:\Users\Your_Username\Documents\My Games\Halo\hac\packs
Halo CE: C:\Users\Your_Username\Documents\My Games\Halo CE\hac\packs

If we installed the Halo Reach pack to our CE HAC folder, it?d look like this:

C:\Users\Your_Username\Documents\My Games\Halo CE\hac\packs\

You can then use the following commands:

optic - display all available medal packs.
optic load <pack name> ? load a medal pack. For example, optic load halo4.
optic unload - stop the medal system. You do not need to use unload to simply load another pack.
The optic load command only needs to be used once. HAC will remember your preference for the next time you start the game.

Creating your own medal packs:

Although you?re welcome to open the provided medal packs to see how I?ve done things, documentation will be forthcoming (next week, ideally).

{XG} Clan News / Forum Update
« on: 21 May 2014, 14:49:33 »
Some new stuff has been added to the forums.

There is a slight change in the joining the clan procedure.Once a person applies he must wait for at least a week from applied date. This has been added to check the members activity on the forums, xfire and the servers. No member is allowed to post on an application (to prevent spam on the applications). When a new member is accepted an admin will post in the "New Members" board so everyone can know and welcome him/her there and not on their applications.

For those who still using the old 1.00/1.04 executable, I made a "fixed" 1.10 one and I also included HAC 2 in the archive, so hopefully custom maps will be actually played after 10 years as intended.

Here are the fixes:

Halo PC
- Download
- Magnet Link (torrent)
Spoiler for Hiden:
Halo CE
- Download
- Magnet Link (torrent)
Spoiler for Hiden:

Installation: Simply extract the archive to the Halo main folder, and overwrite the existing files.

If you get error message when you start Halo, install this:

Para los que aun utilicen las viejas versiones 1.00/1.04 ejecutables, voy a hacer un "arreglo" 1.10 con HAC2 incluido en el archivo, y con suerte los mapas modificados se podr?n jugar como estuvo provisto hace 10 a?os.

Las descargas estar?n disponibles despu?s de que salga oficialmente el parche 1.10.

Halo PC
 - Descarga
 - Enlace Magnetico (torrent)
Spoiler for Hiden:

Halo CE
 - Descarga
 - Enlace Magnetico (torrent)
Spoiler for Hiden:

Como instalar: simplemente extraiga el archivo a la carpeta principal de Halo y remplaze los archivos existentes.

Si obtienes este mensage de error cuando inicias halo, instala esto:

General Discussion / Halo 5: Guardians
« on: 16 May 2014, 14:11:43 »

Halo 5: Guardians the next installment in the legendary saga of the Master Chief, will launch on Xbox One in fall of 2015.

Quote from:
The PC versions of Halo: Combat Evolved, its demo and Halo: Custom Edition are now playable through the third-party matchmaking and online gaming program GameRanger. Halo was slated to suffer loss of online functionality when GameSpy's matchmaking services go dark on May 31.

GameRanger began in 1999 and supports nearly 700 PC games and just under 200 for Mac. Prior to the news of GameSpy's impending shutdown, which also affects games like Crysis and Crysis 2, the Australia-based company announced that it achieved five million registered PC users in March. GameRanger picked up other games whose servers got the ax, such as 2005's Need for Speed: Most Wanted in August 2011.

Grand Theft Auto 4 and Red Dead Redemption will remain mostly unaffected by the closure of GameSpy's online services, though other Rockstar games will suffer. EA announced last month that it was working to transition its older Battlefield games to its own Origin service.

The Halo 1 series for PC can now be played on GameRanger and won't suffer the fate of the server shutdowns next month:
