Existing owners of the sims 2 got it for free already. EA is stopping the support for the other the sims 2 versions.

Anyway, I think most people already have the sims 3 if they like the sims.

Got it. I like the sims, not that im a big fun of it or of Maxis games (im a big fun of simcity though). Ive played The Sims Bustin' Out back in the days of the PS2/XBOX era and i really enjoyed it. I still have the disc of it lol. Also because my pc cant run the sims 3, well it gets the requirements but the gpu isnt supported.
And also if its free ill take it.

Ahh, I like building houses in The Sims 3 and then I make a family. But I do get bored once the family has completed certain goals..
Perhaps I should turn ageing on, so the people get old and have new people to play with.

Downloaded it, since it's free (keep in mind: insert it's free pics here) and had a little time loading the game (actually, it took 11 minutes to load my first... neighbourhood or idk, lol) and after realizing that my pc is not capable to achieve 10 fps with a 2009 ea game, I had to put it away... just in case if I buy a new video card, so I can actually play it.

Until that, I have a few HCE maps with ai's, so I got that goin' for me which is nice.

The first load will take a while ( it took me around 6-7 minutes) but after that the game loads around 1-2 minutes. Only the first load for every lot/neighborhood/city section will take a while. Also set everything to low. And disable Vsync. The game doesnt require that much to run.

No, more like a life simulator/roleplaying game.

Eurgh the latest Simcity was such a bad game ... Even with all of the updates released for it (Offline mode, bux fixes) it still feels broken and unfinished. The maps are also still far too small (which is completely unnecessary, Maxis tried spouting some bullshit saying the game wouldn't support bigger map sizes but I can't see what would be so difficult about it...)

The whole multiplayer aspect of it was also quite shitty, it never seems to work how it was intended to work (Things like the Great Works never seem to sync correctly at all).

I agree with you. Thats why Simcity 4 (Rush Hour & Deluxe edition) is the last game of the franchise that i played and will play. The game was just perfect.
