1:Install an optimized firefox browser like palemoon or waterfox (waterfox is slightly faster for intel cpu's but its not updated as often)
2. Install the fasterfox plugin and put it on turbo charge.

*You can skip the first 3 steps in this article if you did the fasterfox thingy in step 2.

Firefox has the ability to write cached files to RAM instead of the hard disk. This is not only faster, but will significantly reduce writes to the HDD/SSD while using the browser.
To change the cache location to RAM:
Open Firefox -> Type about:config into the address bar -> Enter -> double-click browser.cache.disk.enable to set the value to False -> Right-Click anywhere -> New -> Integer -> Preference Name "disk.cache.memory.capacity" -> value memory size in KB. Enter 32768 for 32MB, 65536 for 64MB, etc. -> restart Firefox
5. enjoy your faster browser, I skipped 1 on my fast pc because firefox was already fast.
But step 1 helps if you are low on ram and or have a slow cpu.

Doubt it, your hardware handles everything so fast that it won't affect pings.
You are probably seeing this difference because your laptop uses Wi-FI and your pc is connected by wire which is a lot faster.

1 Not everybody is from Italian
2 lowering the graphics settings increasing your FPS but won't reduce your ping (although it does reduce lag if you have an old/cheap PC) ...
3 Halo doesn't use TCP, it uses UDP so the registry tweaks for TCP won't help.

You'll play even better in battlefield 3 but in a few years with overclocking your computer will stop working.As long as you have good cooling it doesn't really matter.
I suggest you to overclock a processor and unoverclock the graphic card and the inverse for few times
A processor and gpu usually last more than 10 years, so you probably replace them before that anyway.
