Halo Custom Edition / R.I.P HALO

The day has came which most halo players have been dreading for years.
GameSpy will stop hosting for Halo / HaloCE servers. This means you will no longer be able to go onto the server list.
According to the GameSpy website 'Effective May 31, 2014, GameSpy will cease providing all hosting services for all games still using GameSpy.'
So why is this a bad thing? Well, a huge part of gaming is playing with other people, and without being able to see which servers are populated, no one will play. There will be no more laggy Mexicans, no more noobs, no more fun. New players will not see any servers so will not bother playing. You will also have to know the IP address for every server you will want to play in.
Halo has had a good life guys. But unless someone does something drastic soon, halo will die within the next 6 months. I can not imagine even 1/8th of the people playing today playing without the lobby. I've seen how quickly other games die without the most basic server browser. It's going to be a horrific end to what I can only class as my favourite FPS ever.

Hey guys.
We're no longer hosting any servers on the Netherlands server. Instead, we've re-located all of our servers to a new location in France.
The french location has better pings for southern Europe, America and India. The server also comes with DDoS protection so no more silly server downtime!
To connect to the server via direct IP, use the following address:
fr1.xgclan.com:portnumber
OR
91.121.143.181:portnumber
If you have any questions about the new server, please ask : ) !!!

General Discussion / Where's Bill been?

So a few of you have been wondering "Why isn't Bill online?".
Lately I've been busy doing DIY around my house, like re-decorating my house and stuff. I've also been doing loads of random stuff like helping a charity, going to random events with family and spending time with family who I haven't seen in ages. Usually in my spare time I'm learning to program, doing something totally pointless or fucking around with Gijs on BF4 (which is a shit game)
This December I'm busy too doing loads moarrrr stuff (e.g. CHRISTMAS MOTHER FUCKER).
Basically I'm writing this to say that I'm still around. Just atm I don't have loads of time to play games in. So, sorry if you guys want me for something which I'm not online to do. I'll hopefully be online a lot more in January!

Battlefield / Bf4

Battlefield 4 actually sucks guys...
It's unstable.. Crashes on both my machine and Gijs's.
The maps are all tiny compared to BF3.
It's way harder to spot players.
There's no recoil on the guns.. Just bad aiming. Gun sights are also smaller and harder to aim with.
The graphics in my opinion have not improved.
Some of the features they've added don't work.. Like the reverse knife attack.
And altogether, I think it's getting as bad as COD : (

I was playing the sniper server earlier and I noticed how bad some people warp, yet they still get kills.
This one person who killed me warped so much that it was like 'Now you see me. Now you don't... And you're dead'.
I think we should add antiwarp onto the sniper servers as sniping is all about accuracy. It is near impossible to kill someone with huge warp yet apparently they can kill you still...
If a player warps, they are killed and receive the message "You are warping. Please fix your connection or leave the server."
I understand lots of people don't have great connections. I know some people use mobile internet and might 40% have packet loss which causes them to lag/warp. But as a good pinger to our NL servers, it's unfair to me (and other good pingers) that we might have some Mexican with a 400 ping warping around and killing me. -.-
What do you guys think?

Battlefield / Just played BF4

Just played Battlefield 4.. Actually a little disappointing by it : (
It's slower than BF3.. and I don't know why, but the Shanghai map I've just played looks pretty poor graphically compared to BF3. Maybe I need to change my graphics settings?
The guns seem less accurate too. Not because of recoil but because they've made a guns range more "accurate"... but they aren't accurate at all. Apparently an AK couldn't hit someone from 40 meters away because they were too far away?
But on the bright side, you can now counter someone trying to mele (stab) you with a knife and you can do cool random stuff too like use elevators
The game is still in Beta ATM so let's hope it gets better

Our European servers are going to be down on Thursday (19th) as elitegameservers.net are doing some improvements to the server.
Servers will be down from 14:00 GMT+1 and will be down until roughly 19:00 GMT+1.
The {XG} USA servers will still be up if anyone wants to play!

I had fibre installed, and tested it to elitegameservers.net NL server (who provide our servers).
I went from 5mb/s DOWN and 0.65mb/s UP with a ping of 40ms to:

So, as you may know, the clan takes a lot of money and effort to manage and run.
We're always looking to try to improve the clan in different ways, for example, our awesome new website but doing this all costs money.
A handful of members already support and help the clan out by giving us a small donation each month. This money is used wisely and sparingly by the admins of course (ON BLACKJACK, AND HOOKERS).
Once again, we're looking to improve everything, but in order to do this we need to raise some money! We're currently looking to add security enhancements on to the website so that any passwords, conversations, porn or personal data are protected. We're also looking to purchase a Battlefield 4 server when the game is released!
Of course, the admin team are willing to help pay for this, but since there's so many {XG}'s it would be a huge help to us if members could donate ANYTHING they can possibly give.
Any donation made to us is a huge help to us. We really appreciate every donation made.
Donations do not have to be $100000. Even if you can only donate $0.00001 then even that's a help.
